Composed “Distant Companion” is a floor lamp that I created in collaboration with Pauline Csatillo, a textile designer and was exhibited in the Department of Textile Senior Show of Rhode Island School of Design. in this project, we explore the potential of how textile, specifically knit fabric, can play in 3D and lighting designs. We intend to create a structure for a floor lamp that takes the form of an fanciful and whimsical creature, as if a silent companion in the room that brings us warmth and peace.
