DETAIL VIEWS:

Constructed of ink-dyed maple wood and indigo-dyed cotton ropes, a cushion and pillows, the Lounge Chair from the Indigo as Language Collection is one of the earliest works in the collection that explores the language of indigo dye on soft goods. The form of the chair takes inspiration from the traditional architectural languages of Yunnan, China, a province known for the craft of indigo dye. Perched upon a tranquil lounge chair in the ethereal landscapes of Yunnan, while beholding the mesmerizing dance of indigo fabric unfurling under the sky, it’s a moment where time suspends, and the soul finds sanctuary within existence.
